At GEMS, we rely on the support of our parents to help us foster and build the GEMS community. Please consider getting involved with your child's education through The Parent Group, by completing a Volunteer Form, or by Making a Donation to the school. For more information about becoming involved with the school, please contact our Dean, James Kutnow at firstname.lastname@example.org.
GEMS students are assigned their bus routes from Columbus City Schools each school year. If you have not yet received route information for your student, please contact the GEMS office at 614-253-4000 or Columbus City Schools Transportation at 614-365-5074 to learn the status of your application. In order to ride the CCS bus you must submit a request for transportation to GEMS. Once you have submitted an application, you may ask for a temporary pass to utilize an existing bus stop while your request is being processed. If your student wants to get off at a stop other than the stop assigned to them, the school must receive permission from a parent each time in order to write a temporary bus pass. Please contact A’Leah Martin at 614-253-4000 with any questions.
GEMS considers the safety of all of its students and staff extremely important and a high priority of our work. In case of emergencies, families will be contacted in multiple methods; letters home, our texting communication service - Remind 101, mass e-mails, through website posts, and/or from an off-campus phone location at The Graham School (614.262.1111).
In the case that the school needs to relocate the staff and students for any reason, we will be relocating to The Ohio State University Student Union (1739 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43210). Arrangements for student pick-up will be communicated through the same methods listed above.
